Introduction
My name is Ishan Mani Singh, second year '29 , Studying
Computer Science And Engineering (Datascience)
at Vellore Institute of Technology.
My Journey in Tech & STEM
I've always been interested in Science and Technology
This is one of the only things i can be involved in all day
without realising how fast the time passed.
from being intersted in theories like The Theory of Relativity and dimensions
to actual mathematics on how it helps us genralise things,
more over puzzles and aptitude was really interesting to me
I would come up with my own problems and try to solve it
or would go to random websites and solve puzzles
but alot of problems required me to iterate things fast
this is where coding come in for me.
Programming
I have been coding since 2018 during Class 7th Middle-School,
I started coding alot more from 2020
and started with a very basic tech stack
for webdev and projects involving math and logic ,
Python was a big part of it, I understood that it was really
a good tool to bring ideas to reality and to solve
computational based mathematics which cant be generalised directly
and also to build Automation Scripts that automates
boring manual tasks.
I was also very interested in building BOTs and ChatBots
which help me do a task or interact with people on my behalf.
mostly related to my own life, such as scraping websites for gathering content
or making minecraft or discord based automation scripts to make my life easier
or making automated server backup system to never loose any information.
or playing with APIs and Hosting local servers.
I was also interested in Ethical Hacking and Pentesting
or finding general vulnerabilities or bugs to things
as i realised how bad the real world security actually is
and being truely secure is mathematically impossible.
which lead me to develop interest in Cryptography
by which i learned how encryption and other things works
I tried to build my own private encryption and learned more about
how encryptions have always existed from ceaser-cipher encryption
to modern day officially accepted AES
moreover to leading to need of quantum encryption.
From cryptography and neuroscience i realised how information itself is an entity
which can be taken as data and how studying it can give us different outcomes.
This is where AIML and datascience comes in.
Artificial Intelligence
Later on, with Advancements in AI during the first release of CHATGPT in 2022
I was among the very first initial users of Dec 15 2022 model.
I experimented with it day and night to get meaningful things out of it.
I tried to always apply my coding knownledge in real world application.
such as the time when there was no official API,
for OPENAI to access LLMs ,
I built a non profit for personal use only,
On Screen Scraping system which worked as an api for my personal projects.
I was finally able to make my automations more advance using it.
I even got an offer from a gamedev company for this
After this, when APIs were available but they were all paid.
Opensorce local models didnt exist yet.
Discord introduced a platform chatbot called "Clyde".
which again was a huge opportunity for me as i used it as a free api
by writing scraping code again totally for personal use and non profit.
